Amanda’s entrepreneurial journey began early. At 17, she co-founded the award-winning retail chain Sebachi. It became one of Australia’s first e-commerce ventures in the early 2000s. At 18, she became Australia’s first Youth Development Officer, leading local government youth programs. She then spent fifteen years working in youth suicide prevention.
That experience shaped her invention of the “Be A Looper” app and EmotionAI technologies. These are now used in 87 countries to help people monitor emotional wellbeing. Amanda holds multiple patents, including “Methods for tracking and responding to mental health statuses.” TIME recognised her as a Next Generation Leader. In addition, The CEO Magazine named her Start-up Executive of the Year, and LinkedIn named her a Top Voice in Artificial Intelligence every year from 2023 to 2026.
Amanda has advised organisations including Commonwealth Bank, Allianz, Zoom, Google Cloud, YPO, Stanford University and Kellogg’s. She also hosts the social audio show “Talk Nerdy To Me.” This show reaches over 300,000 subscribers worldwide.
