Book Sarah Rowan Now

Sarah Rowan is an artist and thought leader who helps individuals and organisations ignite a much better future through creativity, work built on more than 20 years spent as one of Australia’s leading Speed Painters. She has lived and breathed the dynamic process of transformation for two decades, turning blank walls and canvases into thought-provoking pieces of art under real time pressure, often with a live audience watching every single brushstroke unfold in real time and in complete silence, waiting patiently for the final dramatic reveal to appear before their eyes.

Sarah has effectively reimagined the traditional role of the artist, merging her studio training with a genuine passion for public speaking to push painting beyond the gallery and into a trail-blazing performance genre that challenges the usual limits of time and space. After graduating from Converse College in 2003 with a BFA in Studio Art, she started an art business in Greenville, South Carolina, before relocating to Sydney to expand her horizons, a move that led her to use a process she calls creative futurism to overcome depression and chronic illness and build a genuinely new future for herself and her family.

No longer shaped by old expectations, Sarah has stepped fully into her professional truth, and her strong emotional storytelling combined with her ability to paint fast and think fast has captivated clients including Nestlé, ANZ, AMP, Ernst & Young, Woolworths, Sydney Airport and Priceline. She encourages audiences to embrace creativity as a birthright belonging to everyone, not a talent reserved for the chosen few, and to date has painted live at more than 500 events, helping raise over $350,000 for charity in the process along the way. Based in Sydney, Sarah is available for international bookings across industries and event formats of every conceivable size and format.

Description

Book Sarah Rowan for Your Next International Event

Sarah Rowan has spent more than two decades reimagining what live art can be, establishing herself as one of Australia’s leading Speed Painters by turning blank canvases into fully realised artworks in real time, in front of live audiences around the world. After graduating with a BFA in Studio Art from Converse College and running her own art business in Greenville, South Carolina, she relocated to Sydney to expand her creative horizons, a move that eventually reshaped both her career and her personal life in ways she never anticipated when she first arrived in Australia.

It was in Sydney that Sarah began using a process she calls creative futurism to work through depression and chronic illness, effectively repainting her own story alongside the canvases she creates on stage. That personal transformation now sits at the heart of her keynote sessions, which blend raw emotional storytelling with the visual spectacle of a painting being completed live as she speaks, a format that pushes the traditionally studio-based pursuit of painting into a genuinely trail-blazing performance genre few other speakers can replicate, and one that captures an audience’s attention from the very first brushstroke to the final reveal.

Sarah’s core message challenges audiences to treat creativity as a birthright rather than a talent reserved for a select few, showing how reframing personal and professional limitations can unlock a genuinely better future for individuals and organisations alike. She has captivated audiences at more than 500 events for major clients including Nestlé, ANZ, AMP, Ernst & Young, Woolworths, Sydney Airport and Priceline, and her live painting performances have helped raise more than $350,000 for charity along the way, proof that her sessions leave a lasting emotional and financial impact well beyond the room they are delivered in.
