Book Sarah Rowan for Your Next International Event
Sarah Rowan has spent more than two decades reimagining what live art can be, establishing herself as one of Australia’s leading Speed Painters by turning blank canvases into fully realised artworks in real time, in front of live audiences around the world. After graduating with a BFA in Studio Art from Converse College and running her own art business in Greenville, South Carolina, she relocated to Sydney to expand her creative horizons, a move that eventually reshaped both her career and her personal life in ways she never anticipated when she first arrived in Australia.
It was in Sydney that Sarah began using a process she calls creative futurism to work through depression and chronic illness, effectively repainting her own story alongside the canvases she creates on stage. That personal transformation now sits at the heart of her keynote sessions, which blend raw emotional storytelling with the visual spectacle of a painting being completed live as she speaks, a format that pushes the traditionally studio-based pursuit of painting into a genuinely trail-blazing performance genre few other speakers can replicate, and one that captures an audience’s attention from the very first brushstroke to the final reveal.
Sarah’s core message challenges audiences to treat creativity as a birthright rather than a talent reserved for a select few, showing how reframing personal and professional limitations can unlock a genuinely better future for individuals and organisations alike. She has captivated audiences at more than 500 events for major clients including Nestlé, ANZ, AMP, Ernst & Young, Woolworths, Sydney Airport and Priceline, and her live painting performances have helped raise more than $350,000 for charity along the way, proof that her sessions leave a lasting emotional and financial impact well beyond the room they are delivered in.
