Dr Nici Sweaney keynote speaker sessions bring 20 years of experience at the intersection of science, strategy and innovation. She is an internationally recognised voice in ethical AI, equity and governance. As a result, she helps businesses, governments and education systems adopt AI responsibly, inclusively and with human values at the centre.

Nici holds a PhD in conservation ecology. She spent 17 years in academia and more than a decade working as a quantitative data analyst. In 2023, she founded AI Her Way, a consultancy that helps organisations adopt AI as a lever for ethical, scalable impact. Since then, she has advised more than 60 organisations, including WWF, Canon, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Australian National University.
Nici is a Senior Fellow at the AI for Developing Countries Forum. There, she contributes to global dialogues on sustainable and inclusive AI. She also played a key role in developing Australia’s national Responsible AI Use Guidelines. In addition, she has delivered talks at TEDx and the United Nations, and has collaborated with the United Nations, the World Bank and AusAid. Microsoft News named her one of the Top 10 Trailblazing Entrepreneurs in AI to Follow in 2024.
