Dr. Arne Rubinstein

Book Dr. Arne Rubinstein Now

Dr Arne Rubinstein is the CEO and Founder of the Rites of Passage Institute and a globally recognised authority on how meaningful rites of passage shape healthy individuals and communities. His credentials include executive education at both Harvard and Oxford Universities, and in 2024 he was honoured with the prestigious Order of Australia in recognition of his significant, decades-long contribution to the field of human development and community wellbeing across the country and far beyond its borders.

Arne’s career began in Emergency Medicine, a background he ultimately left behind to build programs that help organisations, families and individuals genuinely thrive rather than simply survive. Over more than three decades, that work has reached over 450,000 individuals across 25 countries, an impact further recognised through his 2025 Australian Father of the Year award. His programs have earned recognition from major corporations and educational institutions around the world, a reflection of how directly his rites of passage framework translates into practical, measurable outcomes for organisations navigating change, growth and generational transition in an uncertain world.

Driven by a vision to bring healthy rites of passage back into mainstream culture, Arne collaborates closely with a wide range of communities and organisations, including schools and Indigenous groups, adapting his approach to fit vastly different cultural contexts without ever losing sight of its core purpose. He is also the best-selling author of The Making of Men, a book that distills decades of his research and practice into a widely read resource for parents, educators and leaders navigating the transition into adulthood.

Based in New South Wales, Dr Arne Rubinstein is available to speak internationally, bringing rare academic credibility and genuine cross-cultural experience to every audience he addresses, whether the setting is a corporate boardroom, an educational institution or a community gathering focused on genuine, lasting change.

Testimonials

There couldn’t have been a better start to our national event for Entrepreneurs Organisation. As the Director of the event, who you start with counts. Arne brought the group together in a professional yet potently playful way -a healthy appropriate contrast to the go gogonature of many of these human’s day to day.
Arne laid the foundations for what was an incredibly powerful event with many walking away with high value processes to be applied in their personal and professional lives.
Dan Kurlapski–Director at Entrepreneurs Organisation Australia

Arne’s creative mind, openness, and breadth of experience have been invaluable in elevating our program, and his ability at getting people to share in talking circles is second to none. I have really valued how he allows you to mould the aspects of the program to your unique needs, rather than suggesting there is only one way to go about it and would wholeheartedly recommend his services to those hoping to create transformative educational experiences.
